“Førde Framover” is a non-commercial project founded by volunteers among the inhabitants of Førde.

A stronger Førde
It is based on a general wish to improve and strengthen Førde in order to ensure that the city is a nice place to live, work and do business now and in the future.

The future of Førde
Our goal is to mobilize other members of the community to discuss the future of Førde. Do you have any suggestions? We would like to hear from you. Please write your ideas in the “Ditt forslag”-  if necessary in English.

We have three focus; - vision, city planning and reputation.

Vision
Førde Framover is looking for a vision that will show the way, that can give direction and energy to those of us who live here.

Lidvin Osland is the head of the vision group. With him is; Torhild Hvidsten, Bente Walaker, Grethe Øren, Tore Dvergsdal, Rahimollah Jurmy, Leif Arne Åsen, and Jon Helge Lunde.

City planning
How do we, the residents of Førde, want the city center to look? Do we need more communal meeting places? Fewer parking places? More roads or walkways? More bridges? Join us in helping to form the future of Førde.

Head of this group is Svein Arne Skuggen Hoff.  Other members are Mariann Njøsen, Helene Vie, Magne Faleide, Grete Marøy Sellevoll and Astrid Wittersø.

Reputation
A good reputation is created by doing the right thing, then letting people know about it.  We start inside the Førde community and are now measuring how content the inhabitants of Førde are with Førde, what they like and what they want to improve. As a result we can, with a substantial degree of certainty, recommend what should be done to strengthen Førdes position in the future.

Head of this group is Anne-Mette Hjelle. Other members are Tom Farsund, Frode Hovland, Margunn Masdal and Guri Sandelien Rekve.
